Teaching Christian Standards - Developing Academic Excellence

At Daughter of Zion Junior Academy our unique approach to education is one that goes beyond the narrow, low scope that education now borders. We have a higher aim, a nobler cause for our close to 150 students and the families that entrust them to us. We focus on an education that encompasses the whole being, focusing on the harmonious development of the physical, the mental, and the spiritual powers. We prepare students for the joy of service in this world and for the higher joy of wider service in the world to come. Our unique approach, top quality faculty, and close-knitted, family environment makes Daughter of Zion Junior Academy more than just a physical Christian school - it’s a life experience.

Committed to Excellence

We view teaching Christian standards as the basis of developing academic excellence  and also excellence of character in our students.

“In a knowledge of God all true knowledge and real development have their source. . . . Whatever line of investigation we pursue, with a sincere purpose to arrive at truth, we are brought in touch with the unseen, mighty Intelligence that is working in and through all.” (Education, 14)

Intelligence plus character – that is the goal of true education.

-Martin Luther King, Jr.

DOZJA Week of Prayer

April, 2018
April got off to a rousing start with our Spring Week of Prayer held April 2-6.  The students were enthralled as Pastor Yoner Valmyr shared his life experiences of being a rebellious teen, being shot seventeen (17) times, car wrecked, almost eaten by crocodiles but more importantly of the sustaining and protecting power of God. Students were drawn closer to God reporting that they felt like God was speaking directly them through the messages presented during the week. We pray that God will continue to work in the life of our students in having them learn the importance of committing their lives to him now, remembering their creator in the days of their youth.

DOZJA lends support to Parkland Students

On Wednesday, March 14 DOZJA students came attired in orange, made signs and banners, and took to the streets, well…, the street outside of the school, in support of students all over the US who wanted to show their support to those affected by the tragedy in Parkland on February 14.  Student leaders offered prayers for the nation, the government, our schools and the individuals and families affected.

“It is not highest work of education to communicate knowledge merely but to impart that vitalizing energy which is received through the contact of mind with mind and soul with soul.”
